A good looking, functional saddle let down by poorly designed straps

I bought the Brae saddle bag as I needed something slightly larger than my standard setup but not a full-blown bikepacking bag. The capacity of the Brae was perfect; I can fit two TPU gravel tubes, a spares kit and a lightweight insulated jacket or waterproof. The saddle bag is constructed from a robust fabric that has shed mud and other muck from the road or trails well so far (I haven't had to ride with it in wet weather yet so can't comment on that).

However, the cinch mechanism on the straps are very frustrating as they keep coming loose mid-ride resulting in a bag that rattles around and is no longer stable. For example, I've never had this problem on other bags of different capacities such as the Topeak Aero Wedge and 16l Topeak Backloader. Perhaps if the connecting parts of the buckles were swapped (i.e. with the male connector mounted on the top of the bag rather than coming from the bottom), this wouldn't be a problem but I'll need to look at a way of stopping this from happening.

A shame as otherwise a good product.
